Cars & Coffee

Ah, the evolution of Beaudesert Rotary’s car-related adventures is like a wild ride through the gears of creativity!

Picture former member Brad Klitscher, amidst the chaos of 2020, going, “Hey, let’s rev up with a Cars & Coffee gig!” It’s like a caffeine-fuelled brainstorm meets a love affair with classic cars. But wait, there’s more! With the help of the Jimboomba Heritage Vehicle Club, they transformed Stationmaster House into a pit stop paradise, serving up raffle tickets, bacon & egg burgers, and pancakes faster than a Formula 1 pit crew.

Then, cue the roadworks drama of 2021, turning their dream location into a detour disaster. But fear not, for Mharc McCabe swooped in like a superhero, pointing the way to Short Street, albeit a bit off the beaten path. However, with dwindling crowds, it was time for a pit stop of their own. And thus, the Show ‘n’ Shine was born!

Beaudesert High School offered up their turf, and on the 3rd of September 2023, the town witnessed a spectacle of chrome and horsepower like never before. With over 120 vehicles strutting their stuff, it was a celebration of all things shiny and sleek.

Now, thanks to the efforts of Geoff Smith, this annual extravaganza is revving up for its second instalment on May 5th, 2024. So mark your calendars, folks, because in Beaudesert, the wheels of Rotary never stop turning!
