A Story Of Our Journey
The Rotary Club of Beaudesert first Chartered
Beaudesert Rotary Club is in its sixty-seventh year. Beaudesert Rotary Chartered in 1957. The Charter President was Tom Enright. A major community project was undertaken in Jubilee Park with the ambitious project of the stone wall and column shelter shed with solid timber roof construction. The Shelter Shed still stands proud today. The only addition to the shelter shed is the iron roof replacing the timber boards a few years ago.

Tree Planting for Koalas
In 2018, the Rotary Club of Beaudesert Inc. approached Scenic Rim Council about tree planting for a koala habitat.
With the help of Council – the Rotary Club of Beaudesert planted 100 eucalypt and other trees for koala and wildlife habitat - specifically Gum-topped box, bloodwood, weeping bottlebrush, native frangipani, broad leaved apple. Of these gum-topped box, broad leaved apple and bloodwood are koala trees.
Rotary Youth Exchange Program
Tamborine Mountain State High School student, Ruby Vaars, participated in Rotary Youth Exchange to Gifu, Japan in 2019.
The rural prefecture of Gifu has been a well-trodden path for Beaudesert students keen to experience the wonders outside of the 4285 postcode since the 1970s.
